Role Overview
BTS Software Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer II with an active TS/SCI w/ POLY to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD. The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements.
What You Will Do- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems.
- Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.
- Resolve software problem reports.
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
- Debug existing software and correct defects.
- Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Two (2) year of experience developing and customizing core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Service Catalog.
- Four (4) years of IT application systems experience in technology solutions delivery.
- Experience creating and implementing scripts, business rules, policies, ACLs and otherwise configure or modify Service Now applications to meet requirements.
- Experience integrating third‑party software and APIs with Service Now using REST and SOAP.
- Experience coding in scripting languages (i.e.: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, JSON or other languages used in Service Now).
- Four (4) years of experience with Service Now Implementations.
- Two (2) years of experience developing on the Service Now Platform (Service Now System Administrator certification OR Service Now Application Developer certification).
