Warehouse Forklift Operator

Overview

Ryder is hiring a Temporary Full Time Material Handlers in Hagerstown, Maryland.

• Hourly Pay: $21.00 per hour
• Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when working mid shift
• Schedule:
  
  Mid Shift, Monday–Friday, 10:30 am – 7:00 pm

• Products Being Handled:
  Computers
• Equipment:
  Forklifts (Sit down), Reach Trucks, Order Pickers, etc.

• Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for aspects related to the automated packing system during core shift hours
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to work within a diverse work environment
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships across all levels of the organization
• Highly thorough and dependable; punctual with good attendance
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision; high initiative; accuracy under pressure
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods and work safely
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule on various shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
