Position summary:

Ryder is hiring temporary full-time Warehouse Associates in Hagerstown, MD. Positions pay weekly with mid-shift schedules.

• Hourly Pay: $19.75 per hour
• Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour for mid shift
• Schedules:
  Mid shift, Monday – Friday, 10:30 am – 7:00 pm

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers
• Ensure scanning is completed correctly and help train dock staff on new procedures
• Maintain facility security at end of shift and address scanning issues and housekeeping
• Perform picking and packing duties; check for product or container damage
• Follow location policies and procedures for handling materials and transactions
• Perform material moves with related physical/logical transactions
• Participate in team activities to improve warehouse operations
• Perform area housekeeping; perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Six months of related warehouse experience required; one year or more preferred
• Experience operating powered industrial trucks (e.g., stand-up/sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks) and basic maintenance knowledge; intermediate level
• Ability to operate manual and/or automated other warehouse/manufacturing equipment (e.g., packaging line); intermediate preferred
• Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification
• Ability to read and perform basic mathematics in English for safety and work instructions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Ability to input data into the WMS system
• Ability to work overtime as assigned
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work independently
• Flexible and self-driven in a fast-paced environment; highly organized with good time management
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-up practices
