Position: Warehouse Material Handler Hiring Immediately

Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring for a Permanent Full‑Time Material Handler in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Pay and Schedule
  • Hourly Pay: $21.00 per hour
  • Overtime Pay: $31.50 per hour
  • Shift premium: $1.50 when working third shift
  • Schedule:

    Third Shift Sunday–Thursday 10:00 pm – 6:00 am

Qualifications
  • High‑school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • At least 1 year of warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred)
  • Valid Forklift Operator's License
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a diverse workplace
  • Highly thorough, dependable, punctual with good attendance
  • Initiative, accuracy even under pressure
  • Physical: lift/push/pull up to 35 lb; stand for long periods
  • Flexible to work various shifts
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up
Important Note

Responsibilities
  • Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
  • Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
  • Accurately pick, pack, audit, tote induct, stage products, and load/unload trucks.
  • Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
  • Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
