Warehouse Material Handler 1st shift

Description:

Ryder is hiring Permanent Full Time Material Handlers in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Role:
Material Handler in warehouse distributing goods, using stand-up forklift.

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting.
• Maintain accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, loading/unloading trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hours.
• Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year related warehouse/powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to be a team player and work within a diverse environment.
• Highly thorough, dependable; punctual with good attendance.
• Demonstrates high accuracy under pressure.
• Can lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs, stand for long periods, use health and safety methods.
• Flexible schedule: available on various work shifts.
