Position Description
Ryder is hiring permanent full‑time Warehouse Associates in Elkridge, MD.
Pay and Schedule
- Hourly Pay $20.00 per hour
- Overtime Pay $30.00 per hour
- Schedule:
Monday‑Friday 7:00 am-5:00 pm or until finished; overtime as required

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months of related warehouse experience required
- One year or more related warehouse experience preferred
- Competency in operating powered industrial trucks (forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.) and completing maintenance tasks (e.g., battery changes, identifying mechanical issues); intermediate proficiency required
- Ability to operate manual or automated warehouse equipment (such as a packaging line) preferred
- Powered industrial truck certification
- Ability to read, perform basic mathematics, and interpret written instructions in English for safety and operational purposes
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Data entry skills in the WMS system(s) in use
- Work overtime as assigned
- Effective communication and collaboration within team and across organizational levels
- Self‑directed and adaptable to a fast‑paced environment
- Organized with strong time‑management and prioritization skills
- Detail oriented with diligent follow‑up practices
Responsibilities
- Package, kit, and/or assemble orders and materials.
- Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers, ensuring accurate scanning and facilitating training of dock employees on new procedures.
- Secure the facility at the end of the shift, investigate and resolve scanning or housekeeping issues.
- Perform picking and packing duties, inspecting for product or container damage.
- Execute material moves in accordance with assigned policies, procedures, and logical transactions.
- Participate in workgroup and team activities to improve warehouse operations.
- Maintain housekeeping standards for assigned area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
