Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Hagerstown, Maryland. The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and a career focused on teamwork and safety.
Pay and Schedule- Hourly Pay: $23.69 per hour, paid weekly
- Schedule:
First Shift (A shift) – Sunday to Tuesday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm; every other Wednesday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- At least one year of powered industrial truck experience (preferred)
- At least one year of previous Team Lead experience (preferred)

- Instructional knowledge of an advanced RF scanner (required)
- Valid forklift operator's license
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective leadership skills and flexibility to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational skills and composure under pressure
- Adherence to health and safety methods
- Bilingual candidates for Quebec locations only
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, a motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or customer‑specific background checks.
Responsibilities- Lead continuous improvement efforts to optimize operational efficiency.
- Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
- Allocate resources, organize and distribute daily work duties to team members, and ensure optimal shift/team logistics.
- Inspire and guide team members toward improved KPIs using effective leadership styles.
- Provide orientation, necessary information, technology, and tools for employees.
- Promote health and safety work methods within the warehouse.
- Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
- Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations and service levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
