Warehouse Team Lead Manager 1st Shift

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Hagerstown, Maryland. The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and a career focused on teamwork and safety.

• Hourly Pay: $23.69 per hour, paid weekly
• Schedule:
  
  First Shift (A shift) – Sunday to Tuesday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm; every other Wednesday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• At least one year of powered industrial truck experience (preferred)
• At least one year of previous Team Lead experience (preferred)
• At least one year of Microsoft Office proficiency (preferred)
• At least one year of warehouse experience (preferred)
• Instructional knowledge of an advanced RF scanner (required)
• Valid forklift operator's license
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective leadership skills and flexibility to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational skills and composure under pressure
• Adherence to health and safety methods
• Bilingual candidates for Quebec locations only

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, a motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or customer‑specific background checks.

• Lead continuous improvement efforts to optimize operational efficiency.
• Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources, organize and distribute daily work duties to team members, and ensure optimal shift/team logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members toward improved KPIs using effective leadership styles.
• Provide orientation, necessary information, technology, and tools for employees.
• Promote health and safety work methods within the warehouse.
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations and service levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
