Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Hagerstown, Maryland. This role offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.
Warehouse associates work in clean, organized facilities to provide the safest supply chain environment.
Products handled:
Computers.
- Hourly Pay $23.69 per hour
- Schedules:
First Shift (A shift) Sunday–Tuesday 7:00 am–7:00 pm; every other Wednesday 7:00 am–7:00 pm
- Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
- Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
- Allocate resources and distribute daily work duties to team members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
- Inspire and guide team members toward improved KPI’s using appropriate leadership styles and methods.
- Assist with orientation for employees, providing necessary information, technology, and tools.
- Promote health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
- Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
- Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
- One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred.
- One (1) year or more experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred.
- One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner (advanced required).
- Valid forklift operator's license certified.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proactively approaches responsibilities and maintains composure under pressure.
- Works using health and safety methods.
- Bilingual (for Québec locations only).
