Position Overview
Ryder is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk Associate in Hagerstown, Maryland — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.
Key Details- Hourly Pay: $23.45 per hour
- Schedule:
First Shift (B Shift) Wednesday–Saturday 7:00 am–7:00 pm and every other Wednesday 7:00 am–7:00 pm

- Coordinating activities with clerks from other floor areas, the customer, and/or other suppliers as needed.
- Updating area or shift metrics using the location's WMS system as needed.
- Generating daily, weekly, or monthly reports, memos, and summaries often of a technical and/or confidential nature.
- Performing floor work and additional duties as assigned.
- Performing basic administrative tasks for an area or shift. Maintaining filing systems and documents.
- Gathering from and providing information to floor employees in his/her area of support.
- Coordinating activities, meetings, and communication for the specific area or shift.
- Performing other duties as assigned depending on the area supported or if location specific.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience preferred.
- One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred.
- One (1) year or more experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates customer service skills.
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Flexibility to operate and self‑driven to excel in a fast‑paced environment.
- Capable of multitasking, highly organized, with excellent time‑management skills.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
