Position Overview

Sofidel America, a subsidiary of the Sofidel Group, is a leading manufacturer of tissue paper products for hygienic and household use. We are currently seeking a Parent Reels Warehouse Operator to join our team. We are looking for a dependable and safety focused individual who is interested in a long term opportunity with a stable and growing organization. The Parent Reels Warehouse Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and shipment throughout the warehouse and production facility.

This role operates powered industrial equipment to load, unload, transport, and organize finished products while ensuring inventory accuracy, maintaining quality standards, and supporting production and shipping operations. The Parent Reels Warehouse Operator plays a key role in maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, transport, and store parent reels using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Read work orders and follow written and verbal instructions to ensure materials are moved accurately and efficiently.
  • Load and unload products onto pallets, racks, trailers, and storage locations.
  • Transport parent reels and materials between production, warehouse, and shipping areas.
  • Stack, organize, bundle, and secure materials for storage or shipment.
  • Scan labels, pallets, rolls, and other containers using warehouse inventory systems.
  • Verify product identification and inventory accuracy during material movement.
  • Perform daily forklift inspections and report equipment concerns or maintenance needs.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations as needed to support production schedules.
  • Communicate equipment issues, material shortages, or operational concerns to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety policies and operating procedures.
  • Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification required.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.
  • Basic mathematical and problem solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and warehouse management or inventory systems preferred.
  • Ability to accurately read work orders, shipping documents, labels, and operating instructions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials while working safely in a warehouse environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
