Qualifications and Desired

Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching credential for the state of California
• Bachelors degree (or higher) in Special Education or related field
• Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
• Familiarity with developing and working from IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Commitment to supporting students of varying abilities and backgrounds

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and adapt lesson plans to accommodate individual student needs
• Develop, review, and update IEPs, collaborating with staff, families, and service providers
• Monitor and document student progress, using data to adjust instructional strategies
• Create a supportive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Participate in team meetings and contribute insights for student development
• Provide guidance, strategies, and resources to general education staff as needed
