We are looking for a Senior Administrative Assistant to provide day-to-day administrative support for our client in downtown Halifax, NS. This role includes organizing and coordinating office activities, managing administrative processes, and working closely with other administrative assistants across their organization.
The role will also support and mentor project assistants within the department, helping to ensure consistent procedures and best practices are followed. The Senior Administrative Assistant may provide additional support to committees, working groups, and other members of the Innovation team as needed.
Please note: this is a 3 month contract with possibility to convert into a permanent position if the fit is right! About You
We are looking for someone with:
• A post-secondary diploma in office administration, business administration, or a related field (required)
• An undergraduate degree is an asset
• IAAP certification is an asset
• 5–7 years of experience providing administrative support at an executive level, preferably in healthcare
• Strong skills in office technology, scheduling, and meeting coordination
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
• Experience using technology to plan meetings and manage information efficiently
• Knowledge of another language is an asset, French preferred
