Position: Housing Program Assistant for Summer Term
Join YWCA Halifax as a Housing Program Assistant this summer, engaging with vital housing programs for women and young mothers. This 8-week full-time role not only utilizes your skills but also enhances community support.

As a Housing Program Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in both the WISH and SHYM programs, providing vital administrative support and engaging participants. Strong computer literacy, adaptability, and the ability to communicate effectively are key to succeed in this position. Initiative and teamwork will help you excel in various tasks, including conflict resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support administrative tasks and intake processes

• Manage calls and emails daily for the team

• Assist with food deliveries and participant needs

• Organize cleaning and preparing of units

• Attend meetings and assist with organizing events

Requirements:

• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills

• First Aid and CPR certification necessary

• Valid driver’s license is beneficial

• Experience in mental health first aid is a plus

• Ability to adapt in diverse settings
