About Our Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager of Operations Support, the Program Support Specialist will support service delivery outcomes across various channels. You will assist with the development, coordination, administration and support for services and systems utilized by the Business Registration Unit, Provincial Contact Centre and Access Nova Scotia Offices. You will be accountable for ensuring quality assurance processes are adhered to, and will work with and provide support to Citizen Services teams, Program Owners and key stakeholders by adhering to established support models, reviewing, suggesting revisions to current processes and recommending effective and efficient service delivery solutions.
Primary Accountabilities
Responsible for user access controls and developing processes to support onboarding and off‑boarding of team members.
Inventory management of serial and non‑serial inventory using STOR best practices.
Supporting quality assurance reviews of all programs.
Assisting analysts in improving program processes to support effective program delivery, new program implementation and system replacements.
Working with team members to support program enhancements requested by program areas, legislative changes and audit recommendations.
Managing your time and work priorities while reaching targeted service objectives.
Providing technical guidance when required, analyzing data from various sources to draw conclusions and make suitable recommendations, including user acceptance testing, development and monitoring of reports.
Drafting communications, assisting in the development of training and delivering training, presenting at meetings, leading workshops and performing other related duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Team player who demonstrates initiative, good judgment, above‑average organizational skills, and ability to work with diverse groups.
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders to build collaborative relationships.
Experience working in a project environment and assisting in implementing new initiatives.
Effective facilitation skills and experience delivering training or information sessions.
Ability to manage and prioritize high‑volume work.
Knowledge of programs along with respective legislation, policies and procedures.
Asset
Working knowledge of business registration platforms such as AMANDA, NSIFTA, Reg Sys, SMP.
Knowledge of the policies and procedures delivered by the Business Registration Unit.
Equivalency

Working Conditions
Normal work week is 35 hours per week, 7 hours per day. Overtime may be required on occasion.

This is a term employment opportunity with an anticipated end date of May 1, 2027.
Pay Grade
PR 06‑PR 10
Salary range: $2,112.87–$3,029.89 bi‑weekly.
