Job Description Halifax, NS, Canada | Part-Time (20+ hrs/wk) | CAD $40/hr### About the RoleA California-based national legal news service is hiring a reporter to cover civil court filings in and around Halifax. The reporter visits the Halifax Supreme Courthouse to review and summarize new civil lawsuits and reviews appellate court rulings. A legal background is not required, but demonstrated interest and ability in journalism is necessary.
Beyond courthouse coverage, the reporter is encouraged to pitch and write nationally targeted news and feature stories covering law, politics, the environment, culture, and other general topics in and around Halifax. Some benefits are available.
What the Role Covers
* Visiting the Halifax Supreme Courthouse to review and summarize new civil lawsuits
