The Indigenous Pathways Program is a unique 9-month, fixed-term opportunity aimed at supporting aspiring journalists from Indigenous communities. Participants will enhance their storytelling abilities through multimedia journalism training, mentorship, and engaging directly in a fast-paced newsroom. You don't need prior journalism experience to apply; we seek your unique voice and perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in foundational training within CBC culture
• Build storytelling skills through intensive workshops
• Gain practical newsroom experience from January to June
• Cultivate your storytelling craft and explore career options
• Collaborate with mentors and peers during the program
Requirements:
• Connection to an Indigenous nation or community
• Enthusiasm for multimedia storytelling
