Underwriting Analyst Regional Municipality

Position: Underwriting Analyst Regional Municipality)
Location  Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
Responsibilities   Support originators throughout the entire commercial mortgage transaction process from deal origination through to completion and post‑funding.
Conduct underwriting, including financial statement analysis.
Obtain required documentation from relevant parties.
Prepare lender presentations.
Manage the funding process.
Liaise with borrowers, CMHC, and lenders.
Qualifications   College diploma or university degree in business, finance, accounting, mathematics, or real estate.
Some experience or knowledge of mortgage finance is preferred.
High level of attention to detail.
Eagerness to learn.
Strong time‑management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Team player.
Understanding of financial statement analysis (asset).
Understanding of commercial real‑estate finance (asset).
Accounting degree/diploma or banking/lending experience (asset).
