Position: US Settlements Analyst )

Overview

As a Settlement Analyst, you will settle or process all transactions assigned on a daily basis in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities
  • Process the settlements of securities and handle all trade exceptions on a timely basis. Possess good knowledge of the products and systems required to accomplish daily responsibilities. Portray a high level of knowledge of Securities Settlements and its various functions.
  • Be able to reconcile account differences and issues and articulate to the proper channels what the issues are. Have excellent communication skills in order to work with coworkers and internal clients alike. Provide a high level of customer service.
  • Have the ability to deal with high volumes of trades to ensure settlement. Reduce risk and cost to the firm by escalating all potential issues to management. Assist management with any ad hoc requirements or tasks.
  • Be a team player who collaborates well with associates and management. Strictly adhere to all firm policies and procedures. Have proficient skills in Windows‑based products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Have the ability to multitask in a pressured setting. Remain up to date on a number of desks so as to be able to backfill throughout the year. Interface with various business lines and branches along with counter‑party operations teams to rectify any settlement discrepancies.
  • Be available to work a 7.5‑hour day (37.5 hours per week) + 1 hour break, occasional overtime required.
  • Within North American business hours (8am‑5pm EST). Work in a hybrid environment.
Qualifications

Post‑secondary education or equivalent. Good understanding of settlement trade life cycle. 2‑5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a banking environment. Strong communication skills. Good computer skills. Ability to work independently and solve problems using knowledge and experience.
