Position: Accounting-Focused Finance Officer at CUA

Join CUA as a Finance Officer, where you'll handle essential financial tasks that support our esteemed banking services in Halifax. This role leverages your accounting knowledge to maintain and report accurate financial data.

Reporting directly to the Manager of Finance, as a Finance Officer, you will engage in a variety of tasks such as journal preparation, account reconciliation, and payment processing. Your ability to work independently and tackle financial challenges will play a vital role in supporting CUA's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely journal entries

• Conduct thorough account reconciliations

• Process member and third-party payments

• Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts

• Maintain compliance with internal financial policies

Requirements:

• Business Administration degree or equivalent experience

• At least 1 year in accounting roles required

• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles

• Proficiency with financial information systems

• High attention to detail and proactive mindset
