Overview
As a Derivatives Trade Support Analyst, you will ensure the timely and accurate completion of the primary responsibilities detailed below to support Equity Derivatives Businesses globally with a view to improve processes and enhance functionality, while delivering excellent service to business partners and colleagues.
What will you do?- Identify, report and resolve trade, position and cash reconciliation breaks between Front Office and Back Office systems.
- Perform trade affirmation with internal counter parties to ensure payments are settled as scheduled to minimize risk.
- Create settlement journals and wires for all confirmed transactions.
- Upload trades, business events, and accounting entries into systems promptly and accurately.
- Perform Trade Support activities as required to support the desks.
- Participate in project planning and testing activities for system enhancements and implementations.
- Escalate any unresolved issues or challenges to Management as soon as possible.
- Identify potential areas for improved processing and automation wherever possible.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate procedure documentation to ensure high quality consistent service.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Proficient in financial products including Equity Linked Notes, Equity, Equity Swaps, Equity Options, Equity Futures and Bonds.
- 2-4 years experience within Operations functions at a financial institution, with an emphasis on reconciliation tasks is an asset.
- Behavioral competencies: proactive in identifying, escalating, and resolving potential issues; ability to meet deadlines in high‑pressure situations; good judgement, confidentiality and discretion; valuable organizational skills and detail orientated; excellent verbal and written communication skills; drive to enhance own skills and build knowledge within a team.
- Technical competencies: excellent computer skills (Excel); ability to leverage AI (LLM, Agents) to streamline processes; VBA/Macro skills (including ability to write code) is an asset.
