About Our Opportunity
As the Finance Co-Op Student, you will administer and perform the day-to-day operations of Financial Advisory Services by ensuring proper documentation, verification, authorization, job costing and account coding. The Finance student maintains the general ledger by reviewing, reconciling, and analyzing on a daily and monthly basis for accounting and data errors or inconsistencies.

Primary Accountabilities

Ensure information reliability for both client divisions and agencies by reviewing and analyzing the accuracy and proper allocation of expenditures and revenues by auditing and analyzing client's financial commitments, the GR/IR, the proper allocation to cost elements and project/contract numbers;

Review and verify contracts, cost share agreements, purchase orders, standing orders, tender requisitions and request for purchases to ensure proper accounting function for the processing of invoices and billings.

Provide ad hoc analysis reporting as required by management.

Procurement functions include the interpretation and application of procurement policies and procedures and an understanding of the procurement AP module. Ensure goods and services re procured in accordance with the latest procurement directives.

Assist with the financial analysis on a variety of projects including comparative analysis, historical analysis, budget and forecast processes.

Qualifications And Experience

We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

Working Conditions

Normal work week is35 hours/week,7 hours/day.

Typically located in a comfortable office environment.

Much of the time is spent in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.

Regularly reads and interprets multiple sources of information, regular requirement to type, read and work on a computer.

May experience pressure with deadlines and need for accuracy.

Salary Range:  $20.99 - $31.02 Hourly
