Based at the remote Columbia Icefield in Jasper National Park, this on‑site living role places you 100 km from Jasper and surrounded by stunning glacier views and endless mountain adventure. You’ll be part of a destination that includes the Glacier View Lodge, dining outlets, retail, and the world‑famous Glacier Adventure and Skywalk. Staff live on‑site with accommodations and three hot meals per day.
Compensation- Starting wage: $18.00/hour.
- End‑of‑season retention bonus up to $1.00/hour.
- $20 per day for housing and meals.
- Directing guests through parking and arrival areas while giving a warm welcome prior to entering the Glacier Discovery Centre (GDC).
- Educating guests on Pursuit Attractions and guiding them through the purchasing process.
- Providing guests information on the local area.
- Assisting with tour group check‑in, and coordinating with Dispatch regarding any changes.
- Ticket validation as guests begin the Columbia Icefield Adventure and Skywalk tours.
- Loading & coordinating guests and tour groups on/off Coaches and/or Ice Explorers.
- Operating the point‑of‑sale system with accuracy and efficiency, including responsible handling of cash, credit cards, and cash out forms.
- Communicating with co‑workers and management, forwarding observations and comments in a timely fashion.
- Uphold the high standard of environmental stewardship expected for all employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Organization and time management skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference for each guest and employee is the most important aspect of this position.
- Must get excited at the idea of living and working in a remote (yet very social) environment.
- Previous guest service and cash handling experience an asset.
- Guest service‑oriented mindset and a passion for delivering memorable experiences.
- Ability to think on the fly and outside the box with a positive attitude.
- Second language is an asset.
- Mature, energetic, dependable and self‑motivated.
- Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
- Good conflict resolution and problem‑solving skills an asset.
- Must enjoy working outdoors, even in challenging mountain weather conditions.
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment.
- Be prepared for all season weather (Snow, Rain, Wind, Hail).
