Personnel Selection Officers are essential to ensuring the success of military operations by applying knowledge of human behavior to evaluate candidates. This role entails conducting interviews, recommending training programs, and supporting leadership development initiatives for new recruits. Officers also design and assess selection processes while engaging in strategic planning efforts for human resource management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate candidates applying to the Canadian Armed Forces
• Recommend specialized training and development initiatives
• Conduct applied behavioral research for ongoing assessments
• Design selection assessments and write policy documents
• Teach leadership and personnel management courses
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Psychology or relevant field
• Consideration for an undergraduate degree in a related area
• Acceptance of foreign education credentials
• Experience in interviewing and assessments
• Committed to achieving military training standards
