About Our ClientRedstone Food Group Ltd. is a commercial bakery that specializes in artisan and frozen baked goods for retail, in‑store bakery, and food service customers across Canada and the U.S.
Position ScopeThe Human Resources Manager is a hands‑on generalist responsible for delivering full‑scope HR support for the day‑to‑day requirements of four (4) operating plants. Supporting a workforce of approximately full time 150 employees, this role focuses on recruitment and onboarding, employee relations support, policy development and implementations, performance management support, and ensuring compliance with ESA standards and compliance in Ontario. This position is designed for a proactive HR leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, non‑union manufacturing environment.
ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Workforce Planning
- Manage full‑cycle recruitment for production, skilled trades, technical, and salaried roles.
- Collaborate with plant leaders to forecast labour and team needs.
- Complete employment agreements and all necessary documentation.
- Oversee onboarding, orientation, and early engagement.
- Serve as primary HR contact across all sites.
- Coach supervisors on performance, attendance, and policies.
- Conduct workplace investigations per ESA.
- Promote a positive, respectful workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial employment legislation.
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
- Manage confidential HR documentation.
- Ensure HR practices align with food‑industry regulations.
- Guide managers through reviews and progressive discipline.
- Identify training needs and coordinate development.
- Provide HR training on workplace conduct and compliance.
- Administer payroll changes and employee status updates.
- Support perks administration.
- Manage an HRIS that manages core HR functions, centralizing database of all plants employee data, providing HR metrics such as holidays, attendance, turnover and other key items.
- Recommend improvements for consistency and efficiency.
- Align HR initiatives with organizational goals.
- Support succession planning and engagement strategies.
- Lead HR projects and continuous improvement efforts.
- Support compliance with provincial OHS laws.
- Assist with WSIB/WCB claims and accommodations.
- Participate in JHSC activities and safety initiatives.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Strong judgment, professionalism, and discretion.
- Ability to balance strategic and hands‑on responsibilities.
- Proficient with HRIS and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel between facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
- CHRP/CHRL preferred.
- 5+ years of broad HR generalist experience (manufacturing preferred).
- Experience supporting multiple sites is an asset.
95–120K base salary, bonus, health spending account, etc.
