Become a Human Resources Assistant with Halifax Water and play a pivotal role in enhancing employee relations and driving HR initiatives within the People & Culture Team. This position is essential for maintaining a committed workforce reflecting the diverse community served.
As an HR Assistant at Halifax Water, you will engage in various HR operations, including recruitment, training, and performance management. A degree in a relevant field and a CPHR designation or willingness to pursue it are key qualifications. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience related to unionized environments and HRIS systems will be valuable assets for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support recruitment and retention efforts
• Develop training and workforce development programs
• Aid in employee and labor relations tasks

Requirements:
