Drive human resources excellence as a General Employee Relations Coordinator with Garda World in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This hybrid position merges work at the airport with remote flexibility.
As the General Employee Relations Coordinator, you'll ensure effective HR communication and support for unionized employees role requires 1 to 3 years of related experience and involves managing critical HR processes, addressing employee inquiries, and developing service structures that support both unionized and non-unionized staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle HR processes like employment terminations and new hires
• Support employee questions and job confirmations
• Assist with managing absences and accommodations
• Implement systems for employee customer service
• Collaborate with other coordinators to enhance HR functions
Requirements:
• 1 to 3 years of experience in HR, preferably unionized
• Relevant education in HR or labour relations
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications
• Basic knowledge of collective agreements
• Experience in federally regulated sectors preferred
