As a Payroll Coordinator at Mount Saint Vincent University, you will manage critical payroll tasks, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in processing bi-weekly and monthly payrolls. This permanent, full-time position involves supervising another staff member and regularly analyzing the effectiveness of payroll procedures. Key Responsibilities:
• Manage supervision of Payroll Administrator and payroll staff
• Perform financial analysis for accuracy and compliance
• Process payroll transactions, including T4 preparation
• Implement and oversee system upgrades for payroll software
• Monitor compliance with evolving payroll legislation
Requirements:
• Holds payroll certification from the National Payroll Institute
• Three years of progressive payroll experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills necessary
• Strong commitment to customer service excellence
