Human Resources Associate

Emera Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Associate for a 12-month term in Halifax, NS. This integral role focuses on benefits and pensions while delivering exceptional employee service.

Become part of Emera’s Total Rewards Team, supporting the administration of employer compensation and benefits for our Canadian Operating Companies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a keen interest in pensions and benefits. Excellent communication and customer service abilities are critical, as you will manage stakeholder relationships and vendor communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support benefits, pensions, and wellbeing portfolios

• Provide service to employees, retirees, and vendors

• Research process improvements actively

• Facilitate changes to employee pension and benefits information

• Utilize HRIS systems to drive enhancements

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources

• Designation in employee benefits and/or pensions preferred

• Experience in benefits or pension program management

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
