Vancouver Environmental Strategies Manager

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Health, Safety & Sustainability, this role entails managing environmental risks and compliance within the mining sector. You will develop strategies for approvals and ensure that environmental monitoring programs are in place. Your focus will be on fostering a culture of responsibility and awareness throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee environmental practices across project sites

• Develop strategic permits and maintain registries

• Monitor environmental legislation for compliance

• Investigate environmental incidents and implement corrective actions

• Train and guide teams on environmental management

Requirements:

• Experience in mining industry environmental management

• Knowledge in water management practices

• Familiarity with environmental legislation and best practices

• Proven leadership in compliance and risk mitigation

• Ability to travel nationally or internationally as needed
