Extendicare Dietary Aide Position

Extend your culinary skills and compassion as a part-time Dietary Aide at Extendicare's Tendercare Living Centre. Contribute to nutritious meal service and cleanliness for residents daily.

In this role, you'll assist in serving meals tailored to resident preferences while maintaining sanitary serving areas. You will help prepare simple foods and ensure safety standards are met. Your efforts will directly enhance the quality of life for individuals in long-term care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plate and serve meals efficiently

• Maintain food at safe serving temperatures

• Assist with preparation of fresh salads and garnishes

• Clear and clean dining and kitchen areas

• Participate in proper food storage and labeling

Requirements:

• Completion or enrollment in a Food Service Worker Program

• A valid Food Handlers Certificate

• 0-1 year dietary experience in healthcare preferred

• Ability to stand for long durations, perform heavy lifting

• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
