Experienced Camp Cook in Yukon

Fox Exploration Ltd. is hiring an Experienced Camp Cook for a relief position at a Yukon mineral exploration camp. This unique role includes meal preparation and first aid duties for camp staff.

Seeking an organized individual with strong culinary skills and experience in remote camp settings, this position involves managing kitchen operations for around 50 people.

You'll work with a Cook's Helper, facilitate food inventory, and ensure compliance with food safety standards. Fox Exploration has over 15 years of service and values a healthy work environment with accommodation and transport provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily meals safely for 50 camp staff

• Supervise and support kitchen staff in food prep

• Create menus reflecting preferences of personnel

• Order and maintain food inventory appropriately

• Ensure a clean and safe kitchen at all times

Requirements:

• At least two years as a Camp Cook in remote locations

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Experience training junior kitchen staff essential

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work long shifts

• Culinary Diploma or Red Seal certification desired
