Second Cup Barista

Become a key player at Second Cup in the Killam Library at Dalhousie University as a Barista, where crafting quality beverages meets exceptional customer interaction.

In this role, you will create a variety of espresso drinks and specialty offerings while ensuring a welcoming environment for all. We provide the training and support you need to grow in your role, whether you’re experienced or just starting out in the coffee industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Craft espresso drinks and specialty teas to order

• Welcome customers and take orders with accuracy

• Maintain cleanliness throughout the café space

• Prepare light food items and handle register transactions

• Collaborate with teammates during peak hours

Requirements:

• Background in food service advised

• Experience with specialty-coffee brands is preferred

• Basic safety and first aid certifications are desirable

• Strong communication skills and customer service focus

• Capacity to work effectively alone or as part of a team
