Key Account Manager – Med Tech Sales (Capital Sales – Med Tech)
Location: Montréal, Quebec, Canada
Position OverviewThe Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for creating and implementing account strategies and developing long‑term partnerships with hospitals, provincial procurement groups, and health system administrators in the government space. The KAM works with Johnson & Johnson Med Tech sales and marketing teams to achieve positive business outcomes for the Electrophysiology portfolio across key customers in Quebec.
Major Responsibilities- Strategic Account Planning:
Identify target accounts, growth opportunities, and integrate portfolio strategies with customer insights. Engage cross‑functional partners to build sustainable, value‑based partnerships and facilitate the integration of customer insights into account plans. - Strategic Account Management:
Develop long‑term relationships with hospital leaders, drive growth, and position JJMT as the trusted partner. Employ a consultative approach to meet customer needs and ensure follow‑up on commitments. - Negotiation & Consultation:
Apply advanced negotiation techniques, deliver measurable short‑ and long‑term value, and motivate teams to achieve desired outcomes. - Execution Excellence:
Lead systematic execution, focusing on revenue pipeline, tender shaping, therapy advancement, market shaping, and quick wins. - Business Acumen:
Use financial drivers, data, analytics, and customer insights to translate into executable commercial strategies. - Health System & Business Development:
Leverage healthcare environment knowledge to shape procurement, advocate for outcomes, and support launch of new technologies.
- Minimum 6–8 years of Sales Leadership or Key Account Management experience.
- Demonstrated success in key account management and execution.
- Strong understanding of the Canadian and regional healthcare system, GPO/SSO procurement landscape, patient pathways, digital asset adoption, and regulations.
University degree in business or science. MBA considered an advantage.
Language RequirementsBi‑lingual in French and English (required for Quebec).
CompensationBase salary range: $94,000 – $162,150 CAD.
Additional Information- Travel up to 20 % within Canada.
