Join Design 1 as a Field-Based Environmental Technician, specializing in outdoor assessments across Atlantic Canada. This role focuses on environmental investigations and requires extensive travel.
This opportunity is perfect for a candidate with at least 5 years of experience in environmental consulting. You will conduct field investigations, assess hazardous materials, and manage project documentation while working mostly outdoors. The job demands strong communication skills, technical writing abilities, and a willingness to travel frequently throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct environmental field investigations and inspections
• Perform assessments for hazardous materials and air quality
• Collect samples following established standards and procedures
• Communicate professionally with clients and contractors
• Maintain environmental monitoring equipment and documentation
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years in environmental consulting
• Bachelor's in Environmental Science or related field
• Strong report preparation skills
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
• Ability to work independently
