Design 1 is hiring an Environmental Technician to engage in outdoor assessments throughout Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada. Enjoy hands-on fieldwork with varied environmental challenges.
Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in environmental consulting and a strong background in conducting assessments and managing environmental samples. This role involves extensive travel and working in diverse settings where you will utilize your technical skills while following safety regulations. You will also prepare reports and communicate with clients efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform mould and asbestos assessments during field investigations
• Engage in air monitoring and clearance testing
• Collect environmental samples according to standards
• Prepare field notes and technical documentation
• Follow quality assurance procedures and health regulations
Requirements:
• 5+ years experience in environmental consulting
• Bachelor of Science or Environmental Technician Diploma
• Excellent communication and organizational ability
• Clean Class 5 driver’s licence
• Willingness to travel extensively
