Auto Glass Technician – Experienced or Apprentice

Scotia Auto Glass – Lunenburg / Bridgewater, NS + occasional HRM support

Scotia Auto Glass is hiring a full-time  Auto Glass Technician  for mobile auto glass repair and replacement, vehicle preparation, job-site setup, and day-to-day van organization.

We welcome applicants with  direct auto glass experience  and also the right person who wants to  learn the trade properly .

This is  skilled, hands-on work . It is  steady weekday work ,  customer-facing , and it requires care, attention to detail, and pride in doing the job right.

This is not a casual labour role.  We are looking for someone who wants steady work, takes pride in quality, and wants to build real technical skill over time.

We know some of the best candidates are already working.  If you’re experienced in auto glass, or you’re in another hands‑on trade and know you’re capable of more, we’d be glad to speak with you confidentially.

What this role involves

Mobile windshield replacement and chip repair

Working with tools, glass, and vehicles every day

Protecting customer vehicles and keeping work clean

Helping deliver professional service at homes, workplaces, and job sites

Learning a skilled trade with room to grow

What you’ll do

Assist with windshield removals, installations, and chip repairs

Prepare tools and materials for each job

Protect customer vehicles before and during the work

Remove and reinstall parts like wipers, trim, and cowl panels

Keep the van, tools, and materials organized

Use a phone or mobile device for work tasks, communication, and invoicing

Learn and grow into more technical work over time, including possible ADAS calibration support

What we’re looking for

Valid Class 5 driver’s licence

Reliable transportation to get to work

Comfortable travelling between towns when needed

Physically capable of lifting and handling auto glass safely

Good with your hands and comfortable using tools

Dependable, coachable, and on time

Comfortable working with customers in a professional way

Comfortable using mobile technology for work tasks

Willing to follow process and protect customer vehicles carefully

Strong fit for someone who

Likes hands‑on work more than sitting at a desk

Takes pride in clean, careful work

Learns quickly and listens well

Has experience in auto glass, automotive, body shop, service, maintenance, construction, or another hands‑on trade

Wants steady weekday work and the chance to build a real skill

Pay and schedule

$18.75–$24.00 per hour , depending on experience

Monday to Friday

8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Based in the Lunenburg / Bridgewater area with occasional HRM support

Important hiring note:
This position requires hands‑on training in Nova Scotia. Applicants must already be legally entitled to work in Canada, be able to reliably report to work in the Lunenburg / Bridgewater area, and be available for an interview within 2–3 business days if selected.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Experience in auto glass repair and replacement

Ideally what you need to start - Skill set

Automotive Glass experience is a start and is preferred. General comfort around glass and a comfort around a clients vehicle.

You should know how to use general mechanics tools to turn a wrench, remove wiper arms and outer glass area parts.

You should love organization and can read/follow a procedure checklist to offer the best most consistent customer experience.

You should have a great work ethic, be self motivated and have a positive attitude.

You should believe and practicing safety methods and don't mind wearing safety shoes, safety glasses and safety gloves etc.

And since you are working around cars and other people's property you do need a clean valid drivers licence.
