Become a Field Electrician with Valard Construction, specializing in substation expansions across Atlantic Canada. This challenging role focuses on the construction of high voltage systems to strengthen the energy grid.
In this position, you will aid in the expansion of substation infrastructure under the Substations group, directly impacting electrical reliability in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Your work will encompass a wide range of tasks from construction activities to managing electrical installations, all while adhering to strict safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Construct medium and high voltage electrical systems
• Oversee installation and commissioning of equipment
• Ensure accurate cable terminations and installations
• Review and execute plans from electrical blueprints
• Report safety and equipment concerns promptly
Requirements:
• 4 years of experience in construction electrical work
• Journeyman Electrician (Red Seal) credential
• Knowledge of safety regulations and quality checks
• Valid driver's license with acceptable record
• Understanding of electrical systems and SCADA principles
