Assistant Carpenter

Fitzmaurice Brothers Carpentry Ltd. is a well established home and cottage construction and renovation company located in Bracebridge – the heart of Muskoka.

$20-$24 per hour. Rate of pay dependent on experience.

This is a full time position of 40-44 hrs per week.

100% company-paid health and dental benefits after 3 months.

Requirements: Minimum 1 year of construction or carpentry experience.

Must be hardworking, reliable, respectful, professional and capable of working productively without supervision to complete assigned tasks.

Completion of high school, college or other secondary education is considered an asset.

A valid driver’s license is mandatory while the use of a reliable vehicle is certainly preferred.

Our onsite employees must be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment.

Work will be conducted in Muskoka’s 4-season climate.

Apprentices are encouraged to apply as we are registered with the Ontario College of Trades and are qualified and eligible to take apprentices for College carpentry apprenticeship programs.

Work Duties: Framing, trim work, demolition, heavy tool use, painting, dry wall, and other related construction work. Projects regularly vary from small remodels to large custom cottage projects.
