Referral Bonus!
We are pleased to offer a referral bonus of $200 for each individual referred to Matrix HR who is successfully hired for this project. To be eligible for the referral payment, the referred candidate must complete a minimum of one week of work on our payroll.
Key Responsibilities
Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving
Select and inspect rigging gear such as cables, pulleys, chain falls, and winches, based on load weight and size
Tilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under, or around obstacles
Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving operations to ensure safety of workers and materials
Promote and maintain a safe work environment, with a strong commitment to the “Safety First” culture
Qualifications
Successfully completed Rigger Training courses
Proven experience in industrial rigging (preferably in shipbuilding or heavy industrial settings)
Knowledge of rigging procedures, equipment, and safety regulations
Problem-solver, self-motivated, and team-oriented
Comfortable with heights, physical tasks, and shift work
You must be eligible to work in Canada
Additional Requirements
A pre-employment physical is required
A background check will be completed by the employer
Candidates will be required to wear respiratory protective equipment
Candidates will be required to work at heights from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms; stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and climb, and work in confined spaces and inclement weather
Must support extended hours and overtime as business needs dictate
Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors
Frequently handle, lift, carry, and set up parts and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift items over 50 lbs
Own tools and tool pouch
All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Government Security clearance.
