Sheet Metal Journeyman HVAC Regional Municipality

On Track HVAC is hiring experienced Sheet Metal Technicians for ongoing commercial, residential, institutional, and mechanical HVAC projects throughout HRM & surrounding area's.

We’re looking for motivated tradespeople with strong experience in:

• HVAC duct installation
• Sheet metal fabrication
• Ventilation systems
• Commercial rooftop equipment
• Mechanical room installs
• Retrofit and service work

• Commercial HVAC installations
• Rooftop units (RTUs)
• Heat pump systems
• Ventilation and exhaust systems
• Custom duct fabrication and installation
• Mechanical room projects
• Retrofit and replacement work
• Airflow and duct modifications
• Residential and commercial sheet metal systems

• Fabricate, assemble, and install HVAC duct systems and sheet metal components
• Install air handlers, HRVs, furnaces, rooftop units, exhaust fans, and ventilation systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications
• Perform retrofit, renovation, and service-related ductwork modifications
• Coordinate with refrigeration technicians, gas technicians, and mechanical crews
• Assist with HVAC start-up, airflow troubleshooting, and balancing
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
• Complete job documentation and communicate effectively with supervisors and customers
• Ensure all work meets building code, safety, and manufacturer requirements

• Red Seal Sheet Metal Journeyperson certification
• Experience in commercial and residential HVAC systems
• Strong understanding of duct layout, fabrication, and installation
• Experience with RTUs, heat pumps, ventilation, and mechanical systems considered a strong asset
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Professional attitude and attention to detail
