McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions‑free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future.

• Operation of heavy equipment in underground development and production areas, including manual and remote mucking.
• Assist in the installation and removal of reamers, moving raise bore drills and construction equipment required for back filling of raises and stopes.
• Daily operator care rounds.

Requirements of the position:

• minimum grade 12 education or equivalent;
• three to five years of heavy equipment operation and knowledge;
• successful completion of underground training modules;
• good reading, writing and communication skills are essential;
• ability to work in an underground environment;
• excellent safety and attendance record;
• rotating day shift/night shift schedule

• Underground equipment operating experience.

• Pre‑employment substance test.

Rate per hour: $61.17
