Air Conditioning​/Refrigeration Technician

Position: Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Technician Needed
Nova Scotia Health seeks an Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Technician for a full-time position in the Central Zone, Victoria Building. Focus on maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC systems is key in this role.

Under the supervision of the Assistant Manager of Maintenance and Operations, you will address various maintenance tasks related to heating, cooling, and refrigeration. Applicants should have completed an approved apprenticeship and accumulated four years of relevant experience. Skills in communication and teamwork are also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, install, and repair HVAC systems and equipment

• Follow safety codes and work independently

• Communicate effectively with co-workers and clients

• Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills

• Perform physically demanding tasks as required

Requirements:

• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program

• Four years of experience as a journeyperson

• Valid Nova Scotia driver's license

• Familiarity with safety protocols and equipment

• Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
