Mining Heavy Machinery Operator Position

Elevate your mining career with Skeena Gold as a Heavy Equipment Operator at the Eskay Creek Mine in British Columbia. Your expertise in heavy machinery will play a crucial role in our mining operations.

Reporting to the Mining Supervisor, you'll focus on effectively operating heavy equipment including dozers and graders at the open pit mine. You'll engage in crucial operations like material handling and adhering to strict safety measures, ensuring that production targets and environmental standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate heavy machinery in mining activities

• Perform tasks related to site preparation and material handling

• Follow safety procedures and maintain equipment compliance

• Build and sustain pivotal access and haul roads

• Conduct routine inspections and report on equipment conditions

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years' experience with heavy mining equipment

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving status

• Capable of lifting heavy loads and prolonged outdoor work

• Strong adherence to safety and environmental protocols

• Willing to work flexible shifts in remote locations
