If you have experience with SMAW and FCAW welding and are comfortable working in physically demanding environments, this is a great opportunity to join a long-term project.
- Salary: $47-$50/hour + LOA ($166.50/day) + $220 weekly subsistence + $600 relocation support
- Location: Halifax, NS
- Schedule: Rotating shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM / 4:30 PM - 1:00 AM / 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM)
- Employment Type: Full-time

- Perform SMAW and FCAW welding in all positions (1-4) according to blueprints and specifications
- Operate manual and semi-automatic welding, flame-cutting, and air arc (carbon arc) equipment
- Select appropriate filler materials and safely position heavy steel components
- Work within fabrication, maintenance, and repair environments in a shipyard setting
- Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
- Valid Welder Trade Certification (union tickets not accepted)
- Current 4-position SMAW and 4-position FCAW tickets
- Confined Space, Fall Protection, and WHMIS certifications
- Completion of Journeyman certification or registered apprenticeship
- Ability to pass Government Security Clearance (background and credit check)
- LOA eligibility requires a utility bill matching driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions
- Must have full PPE including a fit-tested respirator
