Become a Utilities Labourer with Valard Construction in Sherwood Park, AB, focusing on the installation of shallow utilities. Join a cohesive team working outdoors in various weather conditions to complete critical infrastructure projects.

As a Utilities Labourer, you will report to the Lead Hand, using your construction experience to assist in laying power, gas, and telecommunications lines. Duties range from operating machinery to setting telecom pedestals, emphasizing a collaborative approach for efficiency and safety. Your ability to read construction drawings will be pivotal in executing tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Move materials and sand trenches adequately

• Lay power and gas pipelines in assigned trenches

• Operate equipment such as backhoes and jumping-jacks

• Maintain accurate records and complete necessary paperwork

• Assist in additional tasks as directed by supervisors

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a construction setting

• Hold a valid Class-5 driver's license

• Transport to job sites with your own vehicle

• Lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors for long hours

• Authorized to work in Canada without restrictions
