Municipal Waterworks Maintenance Position

Join the Town of Iroquois Falls as a Waterworks Maintenance Worker, focusing on vital maintenance for municipal water and wastewater systems. This role includes shifts and on-call responsibilities, ideal for those with a commitment to public service.

As part of the waterworks team, you will report to the Waterworks Supervisor and engage in general labor, maintenance, and repairing municipal infrastructure such as water mains and treatment plants. Candidates must be ready for varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, while delivering high-quality service and complying with safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute maintenance tasks on water treatment and distribution systems

• Repair and manage hydrants and sanitary sewer systems

• Work on a schedule involving evenings, nights, and weekends

• Follow safety guidelines in all maintenance activities

• Support the supervisor in infrastructure assessments

Requirements:

• Class 'G' driver's license with satisfactory driving history

• Grade 12 education or equivalent qualifications

• Capability to obtain required Water and Wastewater certifications

• O.I.T. certifications in Water Treatment and related areas

• Excellent interpersonal skills and decision-making ability
