In this critical role, you will receive two weeks of paid training at Public Works, developing expertise in snow and ice management. Engage in 45 hours of paid plowing under experienced guidance while performing inspections and maintenance on snow removal equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate snowplows and graders as assigned
• Conduct necessary equipment inspections
• Keep daily logs and reports accurately
• Perform road maintenance and snow removal tasks
• Follow safety protocols in various conditions
Requirements:
• Two years of relevant experience or equivalent training
• Class III license with air brake certification
• Strong literacy skills for operational documentation
• Knowledge of mechanical systems is advantageous
• Self-motivated and able to withstand harsh weather
