Bridge Maintenance Technician Halifax

Maintain Halifax Harbour Bridges with vehicle repair and equipment operation in a full-time, shift-based Halifax position. Safety remains central throughout every task.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this Maintenance Technician supports general maintenance, operation, and repair across HHB equipment, vehicles, buildings, bridge structures, systems, streets, and properties. The work includes winter maintenance and snow removal while following required safety policies, procedures, and reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair HHB equipment, vehicles, structures, and properties
Operate trucks, tractors, loaders, power tools, and mid-sized equipment
Remove snow and ice from bridges, streets, and parking areas
Inspect vehicles, tools, workplaces, generators, and fire systems
Assist with traffic control during construction and maintenance activities
Requirements:
Hold a Class 5 licence with a clean driving record
Willingness to obtain a Class 3 Nova Scotia licence
Two-plus years in maintenance or a related position
Construction environment or construction trades experience
Ability to work at heights, in traffic, and confined spaces
Apply maintenance, repair, snow removal, and safety skills across Halifax Harbour Bridges equipment and infrastructure.
