Quality Inspector Haltom City, Texas, USA Onsite 1st Shift
Work Schedule:
4/10 schedule Contract $33.52/hr
Quality Inspector Perform visual and dimensional inspections of landing gear assemblies and subcomponents. Conduct receiving inspections and stock purge activities for supplier components. Review inspection documentation and verify completion of required sign-offs. Document inspection activities and product discrepancies. Interpret technical data, including blueprints and BOMs. Support quality audits, inspection method development, and multiple product lines. Work under general supervision and adjust to changing priorities and work scope.
Responsibilities- Quality Inspector Perform visual and dimensional inspections on landing gear assemblies and subcomponents.
- Conduct stock purge and receiving inspections of supplier components.
- Complete daily startup audits of items in the inspection queue.
- Review documentation to ensure inspections and sign-offs are complete.
- Conduct inspections according to established procedures and maintain records.
- Document product discrepancies following defined processes.
- Interpret blueprints, BOMs, and other design data.
- Apply GD&T knowledge and use appropriate inspection methods and equipment.
- Assist Quality Engineering with inspection method and procedure development.
- Support multiple product lines and/or commodities.
- Perform product and quality system audits as required.
- Maintain required skills, knowledge, and certifications.
- Prioritize multiple tasks to meet schedule requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Quality Inspector High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 2 years of aerospace assembly/manufacturing inspection experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience using general measurement tools per inspection requirements.
- Must qualify as a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
- Ability to work under general supervision.
- Quality Inspector Minimum 2 years of landing gear assembly experience.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation of technical data and quality procedures.
- Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) creation and completion.
- Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Working knowledge of CATIA and SAP.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under stress.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds (with lift assist or buddy system for heavier loads).
