We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience. The Assistant Store Manager is accountable for day-to-day store operations, promoting a positive environment, partnering with the Store Manager to lead and develop staff, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction. This role supports a customer-centric environment and analyzes store financial statements to meet financial goals.
The position requires commitment to asset protection and may involve handling a variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).
The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities Of An Assistant Store Manager- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and addressing issues promptly.
- Train and develop Pawnbrokers to First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company-approved channels.
- Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection via inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and secure loans.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
- Analyze financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
- Communicate store goals and profit objectives to employees.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting (as required by law).
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old;
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. - Ability to work in multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Assistant Store Manager will work 40+ hours per week; hours based on business needs.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and standard office equipment.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; analytical skills; cash handling experience; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong work ethic and business sense.
The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Assistant Store Managers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on gross profit of personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
